Our Pacafi Bet Oscar Nominee won yesterday at 10/11 but two more got away at good prices. Pale Orchid continues to improve and won at 5/4 advised and Marjaa won at even money best price guaranteed. Once again although we ended the day in profit and pleased about that the system/criteria in which we extract our bets looks in great shape.
For February the qualifying section of our bet is producing a strike rate of 71% and a profit of 5.05 points to level stakes whilst we are showing a live strike rate of 58% and a profit of 3.62 points. Finding which horses to select from our qualifying pool remains our thorniest problem. We cannot nominate them en masse because some are at very short odds and do not have value attached and some are ridden by jockeys that do not meet our criteria.
Today we only have one qualifier for the Pacafi Bet in First Class 6.20 Kempton currently trading at 5/2 with Bet365 bpg and we have declined to nominate it. The race is far too competitive for us to risk our stake money.

Pimpernel looks likely to win Meydan Oaks
We do like the look of Pimpernel in the UAE Oaks at Meydan. Mahmood Al Zarooni’s filly was second in last year’s Rockfel Stakes and was a Listed winner at Newbury in October but was simply blown away by stablemate Gamilati in this month’s UAE 1000 Guineas. With Gamilati now being prepared for the European season, Frankie Dettori switches to Pimpernel in Thursday’s Group Three feature over nine and a half furlongs. She had four of her five rivals behind her in the Guineas – Alsindi, Moon Spun, Colorful Notion and Mary Fildes. Unfortunately she does not meet the Pacafi Bet criteria and is not a bet either.
