St Malo can open his account in this as he improved to finish second of 13 at 13/2 over today’s trip at Kempton last time. He is preferred even if running to a similar level and sets the clear form standard.
ST MALO LOOKS BEST PLACED TACTICALLY!
Handling this course is a big plus and the Pacafi has more to come. Looking closely at that run at Kempton he was much better away and cut an altogether more convincing figure appreciating the step up to 1m4f and closing the winner to a neck close home. We are mindful that there is the possibility of a muddling gallop but St Malo looks the most versatile but importantly has easily the best jockey in the race to make those key decisions.
CHINA HORSE CLUB
This Street Cry gelding cost a big 200,000gns and was bought by the China Horse Club who now have horses worldwide. He was sold by Roger Varian's wife last November and will not want to pass on a dud. The Club also own the filly that opposes our other Pacafi so hope they have a win single and not a win double.

OF HIS RIVALS
Mutadaffeq (had some fair form for Kevin Prendergast in Ireland previously) should finish closer on only his second start for David O’Meara after a modest fourth over 1m2f here but the remaining pair have yet to show any worthwhile form. The newcomer Cape Dignity is a half-brother to a winner and would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to get involved so win money for Hugo Palmer's newcomer Cape Dignity must be taken seriously. He should know his job first time out but the pedigree suggests this distance is too far and especially if there is a pace on...

TIMEFORM COMMENTS
It should only be a matter of time before ST MALO gets off the mark based on the level he achieved when narrowly denied at Kempton recently and he's preferred to David O'Meara's Mutadaffeq. The well-bred Hugo Palmer newcomer Cape Dignity would also enter the reckoning if the market suggests he's fancied.
