TOP 5 JOCKEYS at CHEPSTOW for last 5 years

Tom Marquand: 22 wins from 137 for 16% (-6.36)

* The Chepstow Racecourse Template shows 43% for favourites winning in non-handicaps.

* ROSSA RYAN - the jockey to watch 9-40 for 23% (+32.50) although he is currently on a bit of a losing run showing 0-35. He has 3 rides today in Swiper 1.45 at 22/1 (888), Kyllachys Tale 2.15 at 16/1 (general) and Danglydontask 4.30 at 13/2 (general)

* DAVID PROBERT is top jockey over the last 5 years at the course and he rides 5 horses for 4 different stables. They are Powerage 1.45, Cooperess 2.50, When Comes Here 3.25, Secret Potion 4.00 and Constraint 4.30 and he is almost certain to ride a winner.

* 4.00: TRISTAN DAVIDSON saddles Pearl Of Qatar at 9/2 (272 miles) and this one is easily our longest traveler of the day. With 8 runners currently standing their ground this could be an each-way to nothing wager.

SIR MARK PRESCOTT is in fabulous form showing 4 winners from his last 11 runners for 36% and he sends 2 to South Wales from Newmarket (165 miles) in Volcanique 4.30 at 9/2 (Bet365 and BetVictor) and Whims Of Desire 5.05 at 9/1 (general).

* Interesting also that ROGER VARIAN sends just one to course from Newmarket in Regal Banner 2.15 at 9/2 for Cheveley Park Stud. The 3yo filly has been disappointing thus far in that she has been sent out favourite on 2 of her last 3 starts but could be on a mission today. The cheekpieces are now tried and she is a genuine contender on her best effort and she might be better than she has shown so far. TRH advice is to back both the Channon and Varian horses in some form - the winner of this race is likely between the two.

* Top trainer at the track this year is MICK CHANNON and he brings 2 more to the track in I'lletyougonow 2.15 at 4/1 (William Hill & BetVictor) and Valentino Sunrise 4.00 at 2/1 (Skybet). Both are current favourites and we imagine one of these two will win.

* Top Trainer at Chepstow over the last 5 years is DAVID EVANS from Pandy but he is having an awful run for August so far showing just 1 winner from 45 runners for 2%. He sends 4 to the course in Risk Mitigation 1.45 at 15/2, Bond Angel 2.15 at 18/1, Satchville Flyer 2.50 at 28/1 and Voice Of Salsabil 5.05 at 16/1.

It looks a tough card at Chepstow today but The Racing Horse Nap is REGAL BANNER 2.15 at 9/2.
