Some information worth considering is the Godolphin Team have INCREDIBLE numbers on this course and make a profit to level stakes when backing them blind, they show: 65-259 for a big 25% (+3.07). They have double the winners of next best owner Hamdan Al Maktoum who shows 32-182 for 18% (-16.16). One could do a lot worse than follow these leading owners at this Festival. Is this a mini-system over the three days especially now Saeed bin Suroor is coming into form with his horses?

Backing favourites blind in non-handicaps for all age groups is profitable over the past 5 years, the figures show 90-207 for 43% (+7.56).

Jockey James Doyle has fantastic figures on the July Course and he not only doubles next best Ryan Moore in winners but scores at a big 24%. A look at his rides will not do any harm.

Who would have thought Harry Bentley would have ridden more winners here over the past 5 years than William Buick and Silvestre De Sousa? Believe it, it is true!

There is racing over this course on Friday 24 July and Saturday 25 July so look out for our updated RACECOURSE TEMPLATE for Newmarket and check in to see the relevance of our information for this week.

The major difference between the Rowley Mile and the July Course is that, whereas the former is uphill all the way to the line, the latter levels off - almost falling away - after an initial climb. It’s a lovely track, every bit as nice for jockeys as it is for summer racegoers, but, when you’re riding, you have to be on weather-watch, as sometimes there’s a faster strip on the far side, near the hospitality marquees. The long straight means it’s a very fair course, with no pace bias, and it’s ideally suited to class horses - JASON WEAVER
