Kempton is a good course for winning favourites in non-handicaps though it only produces a blind profit to level stakes with 4yos+ showing 47-102 for 46% (+4.06). On this occasion only 4 of the 8 races are handicaps.
Godolphin reign supreme at Kempton and have fantastic figures at the course. They have won 274 races from 1036 for a big 26% strike rate (-1.72). Over the years following these owners at this course has long been one of our best systems. Charlie Appleby shows 101-338 for 30% (-0.13) and Saeed bin Suroor 145-530 for 27% (+30.19). The advice is to check out each and every Godolphin horse running at this track first! Khalid Abdullah runners produces figures of 105-435 for 24% (+36.29).
Most of the top trainers have runners tomorrow where John Gosden is easily the best at the course and not just because of his numbers, which show 202-908 for 22% (-59.06). We believe Hollie Doyle rides the course best and this year she records 18-89 for 20% (-0.47). If we asked the reader to name the all time top jockey at Kempton AW, we imagine Adam Kirby (303) or Luke Morris (275) would head the list, but it is Jim Crowley (329) who is the top winning jockey (has 4 rides tomorrow including one for Roger Varian).
Betting to win should be without emotion and treated as a business. Fun, recreational or random bets seriously undermines/compromises the process! |
The way the track is prepared at Kempton can play a massive part in whether it suits front-runners or horses coming from behind. Most of the time, the going is officially rated ‘standard’ but I know, from having ridden in America, that all artificial surfaces are dependent on weather conditions. An inside draw is a big advantage on the round course, as you don’t want to be running wide, and there’s a tendency for jockeys to get going a long from home. My preference would be to use patient tactics - Jason Weaver |
If you want to profit from betting the correct mentality is absolutely essential. Betting can be an unsafe place for some, adverse results can seriously affect the health and well being, not only of the individual, but family and friends who often live with the consequences. |
