Danger: Picota Alt: Masterclass

We use the word context yet again regarding trainer form. The Coles have a very modest national average of 11% but father Paul Cole can train horses! His form of 3 winners from 34 runners since May looks a little worse than the NA, but he has recorded 5 second places and 5 third places within that time period. The team are in form and Cieren Fallon, fresh from his fantastic victory in the Group 1 King's Stand, has been booked especially to ride.

Ready to improve again for 7f distance

The 2yo colt Sanitiser (April foal) made his debut in a good looking Class 4 Maiden at Newbury on good to soft ground won by Gisburn (Royal Ascot runner yesterday), and then built on that respectable debut when scoring with a degree of ease at Windsor last time and there could be lots more to come from the youngster, who shapes like he may relish the move up to 7f here. The Windsor run was in a Class 5 Novice and the Pacafi runs in the same grade today, and with improvement forthcoming, Sanitiser with his RPR of 93 is going to very hard to beat!

Trainer & Jockey form

The Cole team show 1-13 for 8% at Chelmsford so a very small sample and not reflective. Paul Cole showed 10-80 for 13% at the course so both sets of figures should be merged to give true perspective. The jockey booking interests us greatly and it is clear Cieren Fallon is coming to Chelmsford primarily to ride this one for the team. To date he combines to score 3-9 for 33% and a level stake profit of +51.50. Fallon shows 13-108 for 12% at the course generally and his second highest winning numbers at any racecourse so far!

Contender

Picota was beaten a head on the same Windsor card and has made the podium in both starts. He makes appeal and may give the selection most to think about, while Silks Dream and Masterclass appear the most likely of the newcomers engaged.

Timeform

SANITISER should take all the beating if he runs close to the form he showed when winning convincingly at Windsor last month. He's penalised for that success but it'll take a decent performance to get close to him on that evidence. Picota has shown plenty in two runs and he rates as the main danger. Burning Bush should have learned a lot from his debut when green, so he has place claims.

Value

The 8/11 is a shade tight regarding perceived value, we have nibbled again on the exchange and nicked a little 1.89 to 1.91. As each way comes we ought to see 4/5 given the race type and trainers involved.

Sanitiser traded at a high of 7.80 and BSP of 8.20 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently and travelled strongly early on.
