Danger: Romeo's Bond

Dam won five times over the flat at 1m 2f and 1m 3f, four times in all weather flat races at 1m 4f and 1m 5f and three times over hurdles at 2m and 2m 1f. Forever Blessed is the second foal out of a fairly useful 1m4f Flat winner out of the Yorkshire Oaks winner and St Leger second Quiff.

The son of Zoffany ran out a ready winner at 17/2 at Ffos Las on soft ground on his hurdling debut, highlighted by a fine spring over the last as most of his rivals toiled through the testing ground. Visually very impressive!

Impressive debut win

Those with hurdling experience must hold the upper hand in this contest, with the Harry Fry-trained Forever Blessed setting the standard after his very impressive debut win at Ffos Las in October. The gelded son of Zoffany may not require any improvement in order to maintain his unbeaten record but given his age and trainer one would naturally expect him to step forward from that run.

Contender

Romeo's Bond had plenty in hand when scoring at Exeter on his first start over hurdles and looks the logical danger. Many Words should benefit from his initial effort over obstacles at Ludlow last month and can take third place

Timeform

FOREVER BLESSED looked a useful prospect when going in at the first time of asking over hurdles at Ffos Las last month and Harry Fry's son of Zoffany can make light of a 5 lb penalty and go 2-2 here. Romeo's Bond has more to do than when scoring at Exeter but is still next on the list ahead of hurdling-debutant Buxted Too, a fair and in-form Flat performer.

Value

The 10/11 looks perceived value given that excellent debut run. The ground was soft to heavy that day and tomorrow is good to soft, but rain is due in the area tonight and tomorrow. We could have optimum ground!
