FIXTURES
Monday 25 April 2022

FAVOURITES: Winning favourites at Southwell win above the national average of 32% showing 78-225 for 35% (-4.87) whilst the first two in the market score 134-225 for a big 60% and at bigger prices than we could reasonably expect. It is this figure we have been playing and showing a very good profit. Given the nature of the racing at this course (lots of poor class 5 & 6 handicaps) the first two in the market only reveal themselves in the seconds before going into the stalls, so care is needed to fall on the right side.

Members who have shown an interest in Southwell Tapeta might want to record their own figures or paper trade, but we do believe we have an edge at the moment at this course. Of course it is early days and we only have a small sample, but we are following/playing the first two in the market, it has proved most profitable so far...

TRAINERS: Below shows our top trainers on the new Tapeta track since December.

TOP TRAINERS on SOUTHWELL TAPETA
R Bowring 9 0 runners
S Dixon 9 2 runners
C Hills 9 0 runners
R Menzies 8 2 runners
D Shaw 8 2 runners
M Herrington 6 0 runners
D Loughnane 6 0 runners

Both Scott Dixon (7%) and Derek Shaw (7%) train very close to the racecourse and they both have 2 entries each, and despite their poor national averages their runners are worthy of more than a cursory look! Rebecca Menzies also have 2 runners and recently she has been in great form with her horses. Of the 7 top trainers just the 3 have entries this time around.

From the bigger stables Saeed bin Suroor has 2 entries in the same race but the trainer to follow for the meeting might be George Boughey who is in form and has 4 runners with chances, two in the first race.

The 3.40 Novice race has entries from our better trainers but we are only looking at 3 in that race at the moment, the betting will tell us more by 3.35.

JOCKEYS: Once again Hollie Doyle catches the eye, she has a full set of 7 rides and almost certain to ride at least one winner: 1.55: EDDIE'S BOY 2.30: LORD TORRONGA 3.05: AUTONOMY 3.40: BEARAWAY 4.10: INVER PARK 4.40: DANBY WISKE 5.10: THE CHARMER. Stop at a winner?

OWNERS: Godolphin are the current top owners on the Tapeta with 4-8 for 50% (+2.92). they run 2 in the 3.40, they are RUN TO DUBAI & WHITE WOLF and given their profile they could supply the winner for that race, but they have to beat the favourite LADY CLEMENTINE for Andrew Balding and ridden by Cieren Fallon, his only ride. It is possible we have named the 1-2-3 for the race but not sure in which order.
