Lets Go Champ has clearly had training setbacks, but bounced back at Naas last month and is suited by conditions. A brother to Scarlet And Dove and out of a half-sister to Our Conor, he cost £375,000 following his 2019 point-to-point win and while absent for 1,344 days prior to January, now seems back on track, with the winner of his recent Naas race subsequently going in at Grade 2 level.

Only 2 Rules Races

He needed to be given plenty of time to get over that run and 37 days looks long enough, had he been our horse he would have waited another week or two. From his point-to-point win he was absent for 1344 days, and then after his rules debut another 56 days, but the trainer looks to have found the requisite race. The fact is the Pacafi will only need to run close to his previous run to win, but we can surely expect considerable improvement before going on to bigger things!

Trainer Henry De Bromhead has scored with his last 4 runners so we are asking him to score 5-5. The brilliant Rachael Blackmore rides.

Contenders

Danada showed plenty of promise on his Clonmel debut and while now open to vast improvement, might still struggle to beat the selection. Itstimetomoveon bumped into a smart type at Limerick last month and while quite unexposed, has a place chance.

Timeform

    Subsequent events show that LETS GO CHAMP chased home a useful one at Naas last month and with further progress on the cards, he can get off the mark. With Kansas City Star having lots to prove, Itstimetomoveon and Danada look the main dangers.

Value

The 8/11 must surely be north of perceived value given his previous run against a subsequent Grade 2 winner. 

Lets Go Champ traded at a low of 1.25 and Betfair SP of 2.96 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently and travelled strongly early on.
