  • TRAWLERMAN (J &T Gosden) C&D winner, Gold Cup winner, 6lb clear on ratings and the most dominant stayer around, seeking 4-timer. Just 3 runs since season opener in Meydan in April. Should win! William Buick rides (WINNER 5/6)
  • SWEET WILLIAM (J &T Gosden) distance winner, has his quirks but usually runs well. Beaten twice by Trawlerman this season. Rob Havlin rides (2nd 5/2)

1.30: Qipco British Champions Day Two-Year-Old Conditions Stakes (Class 2) 6f

  • WORDS OF TRUTH (C Appleby) C&D winner, open to further progress now seeking 4-timer. If you can get on, the 5/4 with William Hill looks attractive! William Buick rides (3rd 11/10)
  • MISSION CENTRAL (A P O'Brien) beaten favourite last time out, should be happier returned to this trip and drops from Group 2 to Class 2, Christophe Soumillon rides (WINNER 5/1)
  • DIVISION (W Haggas) winner in the last 7 days, will need to have recovered for that effort, but likely to go on improving, now seeking 4-timer, James Doyle rides

2.05: Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes (GROUP 1) 6f

  • LAZZAT (J Reynier) high class French sprinter, top rated, winner of 2 Grade 1s including C&D, beaten favourite last time out. Wins if back to his best, James Doyle rides (2nd 2/1)
  • MONTASSIB (W Haggas) Group 1 winner, eye-catching run on belated return last month, certain to come on for the run so place player at least for this fresh horse, Cieren Fallon rides
  • KIND OF BLUE (J Fanshawe) C&D when winning this race last year, good 2 of 17 to Big Mojo in Sprint Cup at Haydock (6f, good to firm) 42 days ago. Wathnan number 2. Danny Muscutt rides

2.45: Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (GROUP 1) 1m4f

  • KALPANA (A Balding) finished her season on a high with victory in this race last year,  clear on ratings back against her own sex, first time cheek pieces, Colin Keane rides (WINNER 11/8)
  • QUISISANA (F H Graffard) forget Arc run, far too keen eary, distance winner in June last year, Mickael Barzalona rides (3rd 6/1)
  • WAARDAH (O Burrows) fresh horse, slight ground concerns but merits respect in bid for hat-trick, Callum Rodriguez rides

3.25: Qipco Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (GROUP 1) 1m

  • FIELD OF GOLD (J & T Gosden) top class colt. Course winner, distance winner, beaten favourite last time out but found lame so forget. Should have won 2000 Guineas. Given time since last run, Colin Keane rides
  • FALLEN ANGEL (K Burke) Irish 1000 Guineas winner, now won 3 Grade 1s against her own sex, now seeking 4-timer against the boys, James Doyle rides
  • NEVER SO BRAVE (A Balding) much improved for new yard this season, making it 3 wins from 4 when taking City of York Stakes 56 days ago. Asked bigger question now, Oisin Murphy rides

4.05: Qipco Champion Stakes (Class 4) 1m2f

  • OMBUDSMAN (J & T Gosden) versatile with ground conditions, successful in the Prince of Wales's Stakes and Juddmonte International, top on ratings. William Buick rides (2nd 13/8)
  • CALADANGAN (F H Graffard) acts on any surface, close 2nd in this contest last year, won the King George most recently. Sharp turn of foot makes him dangerous to favourite. Mickael Barzalona rides (WINNER 15/8)
  • DELACROIX (A O'Brien) acts on any ground and record of 11121 at 1m2f features wins in the Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes. Trainer 21% with horses 7f to 10f, Christophe Soumillon rides

4.40: Balmoral Handicap (Class 2) 1m

  • ARISAIG (C Johnston) ran well on numerous occasions without winning this year, including in stakes races, eye-catching second in 1m Sandown handicap in July. On career high mark but Jamie Spencer rides and looks perfect fit for her
  • CERULEAN BAY (D O'Meara) Trainer has won 3 of the last 10 runnings. 2 wins at Goodwood this autumn and in the form of his life, races off just 1lb higher, place chance at least. Danny Tudhope rides  
  • CROWN OF OAKS (W Haggas) course winner, beaten favourite last time out, remains progressive, Tom Marquand rides (WINNER 5/1)
  • NATIVE WARRIOR (K Burke) 3-4 since the visor went on and improved another chunk in the process when impressively taking another big field 7f handicap at this course 2 weeks ago; should be fine now back up to 1m. James Doyle rides and 36% on favourites
