CONFIGURATION & DRAW: Kempton is a right-handed, flat Polytrack course, uniquely the only all-weather surface in the UK with a right-handed configuration. The track is oval-shaped and features two distinct loops: KEMPTON AW DRAW BIAS

FAVOURITES: Kempton Racecourse Template provides a huge sample giving the figures real weight and substance! Winning favourites at the course over the past 5-years show 731-1969 for 37.13% and a level stake loss of -135.22, so +3% above the national average. Non-handicap winning favourites score at 45% as opposed to handicap favourites who score at 33% for a significant 12% differential.

TRAINER: Top trainer at the track Andrew Balding (16%) has a single entry in SHRIMP SHADY 7.50 to be ridden by Jason Watson. His colt has to overcome a year-long break and give 10lb to the Masar filly Finalise (W Haggas), in what looks like a match.

Ralph Beckett (18%) has 4 runners at the track tonight including TIERRA DEL TORRO 5.50, HELL YEAH HE DID 6.20, RUN WITH IT 7.20 & GNOMON 7.50.

JOCKEY: Danny Muscutt (13%) has 4 rides including AUGUSTUS GLOOP 5.50, LOBLOLLY 6.50, SAVVY KINGDOM 7.20 & THE BELLHOP 7.50. Cannot spot an obvious winner, but that might not stop him.

Cieren Fallon (14%) is riding well scoring 7 winners in the last 14 days at 21%, and one of those was a 50/1 winner for Henrietta Knight. He has 5 rides including CHAPMAN'S PEAK 5.50, GOING COMMANDO 6.50, RHAPSODY 7.20, FINALISE 7.50 & LEGEND FOREVER 8.50. He is likely to get on the scoresheet.

OWNER: Shadwell Estate (22%) have a single entry at the meeting in the 2yo colt ELSHGAR 6.20 trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Jim Crowley. He is a 125,000gns yearling and the dam was a Listed-place 5f 2yo winner (94) so lots to like on paper.

RED FLAG: Hector Crouch (17%) has 6 rides tonight and certain to feature heavily on the card and a win double beckons. His rides include FANJOVE 5.15, TIERRA DEL TORO 5.50, HELL YEAH HE DID 6.20, ROYAL BODYGUARD 6.50, RUN WITH IT 7.20 & GNOMON 7.50. He has been riding superbly again this year and has already ridden 100 winners from 534 rides for 19%, so +2% above his national average. Last year he rode 101 winners so could pass that figure at this very meeting. His last 4 years sees him score 49 (2022), 82 (2023) 101 (2024) and now notching his second ton.

He is now a very important part of the Ralph Beckett operation and the combination shows 143-683 for a big 21% (-58.06) winning nearly £3m in prize money over the past 5 years. What adds to his figures is his conversion rate when measuring second places against winners, meaning he is much more than a safe pair of hands. Of his rides tonight, 4 are Beckett's entries, one imagines the combination are hoping for a win double.

Our template isn’t just informative - it’s a tactical map. It encourages disciplined betting by anchoring decisions in data and context.

The way the track is prepared at Kempton can play a massive part in whether it suits front-runners or horses coming from behind. Most of the time, the going is officially rated ‘standard’ but I know, from having ridden in America, that all artificial surfaces are dependent on weather conditions. An inside draw is a big advantage on the round course, as you don’t want to be running wide, and there’s a tendency for jockeys to get going a long from home. My preference would be to use patient tactics - Jason Weaver
Proven mathematical laws are the governing force of horse racing betting. Consequently every bet we place is conceived then predicated from statistical analysis protected by a math-based edge with perceived value attached. Our formula is simple because we are yet to be convinced that a complication of a system is proportional to profit. So what do we mean by a maths-based edge? It means finding something with a solid mathematical core, something historically profitable and something that is unlikely to change or suffer fatigue going forward. Then, if we can filter negative influences from the original proposal and provide a sound rationale for doing so, we can claim that betting edge.
The absolute key to success in betting is the ability to identify value bet situations where the odds available are greater than the true chance of winning and then to have the discipline to methodically bet only when these situations arise. If this is done the laws of mathematics and probability dictate that in the long term, you will make a profit.
