SURFACE: Lingfield AW Racecourse uses Polytrack, the most popular choice of surfaces for AW tracks in the UK. Trainers prefer Polytrack over everything else because it is the fairest surface for horses to race on. This fast surface has little jar with virtually no kickback, meaning horses can enjoy their racing, and because it quickly regains its shape after racing there is less stress on tendons.

How BEST to RIDE the LINGFIELD AW

FAVOURITES: Winning favourites at Lingfield over the past 5 years show 710-1974 for 35.97% and a loss of -191.51. All Racecourse Templates are relevant, contextual and pertinent but members have a real edge at Lingfield! Winning favourites in all non-handicaps score 280-558 for a massive 50% and a level stake profit of +£37.16 to a £1 stake. If the reader cannot filter then profit from here...

TRAINERS: Top trainer at the track is Andrew Balding (16%) and he scores +5% above his national average here, he has 2 runners in GOOD SHOT 2.00 & KYOTO 4.31.

George Boughey (16%) has his horses in excellent form and likely to have another winner today from his 4 runners ZIGHY 2.30, INDIAN SPIRIT 3.30, NORTH VIEW 4.00 & MEGAPHONE 5.05.

JOCKEYS: Billy Loughnane (15%) has 8 rides at Lingfield today. His rides include ROSE WARRIOR 1.30, SPINNING DANCER 2.00, ZIGHY 2.30, PAROLE OFFICER 3.00, INDIAN SPIRIT 3.30, NORTH VIEW 4.00, MAYFAIR STAR 4.31 & MEGAPHONE 5.05. Loughnane has already delivered 58 winners for Boughey and 264 on all-weather tracks. This season, their combined stats read 19 wins from 90 rides (21%), outperforming Loughnane’s national average by 6% and Boughey’s by 5%.

Luke Morris (9%) has 4 rides including NASIM 1.30, BAIKAL 3.30, HITCHED 4.00 & PICKERING CASTLE 5.05.

Jack Mitchell (16%) has 3 rides including BELLA PERLA 4.00, SPITZBERGEN 4.31 & FORAGER 5.40

OWNERS: The top owners at any racecourse should always be processed given they score nicely above their national averages. Three of the owners have an interest tomorrow and note Rabbah Racing (19%) score 30% at Lingfield so 11% above their national average. They have 2 runners today and both are of interest in BELLA PERLA 4.00 & SPITZBERGEN 4.31  trained by S & E Crisford and ridden by Jack Mitchell.

GREEN FLAG: There are 2 Novice Races at the course today, including the 2.30: Fillies' Novice Stakes for 2yos and 4.31 Novice Stakes for 3yos. Over the past 5 years these two age groups in non-handicaps score 201-410 for 49% and a level stake profit of +£8.32 to SP. Just a modicum of filtration would help the reader score at a bigger strike rate again. We are staking in both races on the favourites, but in the 4.31 will wait until 4.30 before wagering. There is a possibility that Spitzbergen may be challenged for favouritism by KYOTO for Andrew Balding.

This 3yo colt was a €220,000 yearling sired by Inns of Court. He is a half-brother to 3 winners, including very smart 6f/7f winner Spinning Memories and smart winner up to 7f Ramazan. If the money comes, the OR of 78 by Spitzbergen may not be enough to repel him. To confirm, we will be staking on the 4.31 favourite and the 2.30 favourite, both 1pt win. Andrew Balding (16%) is 11-53 for 21% (-3.01) with 3yo Novices this year, so +5% above his national average. By the way, this year shows Oisin Murphy 67-279 for 24% (+8.86) and an amazing £3,237,480 in prize money riding for Balding!
