Effectively a winner without a penalty

D Flawless is a 3yo Make Believe filly. Her dam was a Listed 1m-1¼m winner (RPR 98). She was made the 2/1 favourite for a 13-runner Kempton Novice over 7f in December and looked all over the winner, she had the race won, but Kieran Shoemark was outridden by William Buick in the final throes. The winner was a previous winner with two-race experience and an OR of 83, but we are absolutely certain this filly is the better racehorse and comes with real potential. Many races are decided by jockeyship, this was one of them. Rob Havlin rides today.

Contender

Lakota Spirit looks the main danger. She showed plenty at Leicester over 7f on soft ground on debut and backed that up 7 months later when 2nd of 11 in a Kempton Maiden over 7f 24 days ago. She has potential and concedes 2lb to the Pacafi.

Timeform Comments

D FLAWLESS pulled clear of the rest when only just edged out by one with previous experience at Kempton in December so looks the one to beat. Lakota Spirit confirmed debut promise when second at Kempton on her return and is the obvious threat, while Kinematica offered something to work on at Wolverhampton and will be suited by this extra furlong.

Perceived Value

Even money looks a good price if this filly can just reproduce her debut run. She does come back from a break so would not want to see any drift, but she is effectively a winner without a penalty and very nicely drawn against the rail to help her jockey secure a stalking position.

D Flawless traded at a low of 1.01 and Betfair SP of 3.34 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently: Lakota Spirit traded at a low of 3.45 and Betfair SP of 2.79 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.
