MERCHANTS of YARN!

The Racing Horse received two messages yesterday, one was positive and one was not. The negative comment came from a non-member who claimed he had been TRACKING us this month. The word 'tracking' was strange given we had only nominated 3 Pacafi in that time, so this was some tracking! The jist of his argument was the old chestnut 'anyone can pick favourites' though he did not say it in quite those words! We did not answer but his comments prompted the following:

TRH received an interesting email back in January 2024 from Race Advisor. Michael Wilding said: "People who bet on horses think that anybody can pick a winner from a low odds horse - but if you ask them to find regular winners - they cannot." Michael is 100% correct!

When we come across these merchants of yarn we ask them to provide evidence/statistics/results of their assertions and of course they cannot! The main reason why it is so hard to profit from low odds horses is because of a word rarely used in horse racing betting - RANDOMNESS!

In regard to betting, randomness is a silent killer, a bedfellow of recreational, fun, guesswork and impatience.

The reason we developed our composite was to present to members 10 relevant points of reference that eliminates and refuses to accept any form of randomness or guesswork! Of course, the composite is worthless if the nominated selection does not contain perceived value. But, there is absolutely no doubt a satisfied composite (preferably scoring 99% to 100%) means you have removed those conniving vessels of negativity!

Satisfying the 10 points of the composite is commensurate to common sense, small losing runs and small downswings, thus leaving the bettor in a better psychological position when finding/hitting a winning run!  We talk about this subject with our eBook:
