Totepool delighted to sponsor Festival - Adam Smith

Shelford winner of last year's Totepool Silver Trophy

One of the day’s feature races is the £50,000 Tote Silver Trophy (Handicap Hurdle) won last year by the Dan Skelton trained Shelford. The festival also includes the Grade Two £30,000 Persian War Novices' Hurdle, a £30,000 Veterans' Chase, two £25,000 Handicap Chases' as well as a £20,000 Novices' Chase. There will also be a £20,000 Handicap for 4yos only.

Jumps Legends Charity Race in aid of Bob Champion Cancer Trust

Another highlight at this meeting is the Jump Legends Charity Race in aid of the Bob Champion Cancer Trust. Riders confirmed for this year’s race include last year’s winner Graham Bradley, three time Gold Cup winning jockey Jim Culloty, two time Cheltenham Gold Cup winning rider Conor O'Dwyer, Jimmy Frost, Jimmy McCarthy, Brendan Powell and Kevin Mooney. The charity race takes place at 1.30pm. We have the 8-race card for Saturday below.

Race by race preview with selections...

Chepstow Racecourse look forward to welcoming runners from all the leading yards but especially those of Paul Nicholls, David Pipe, Philip Hobbs and Jonjo. Historically this fixture has attracted some of the best jump horses in training including Silviniaco Conti, Cue Card and Balthazar King. The Racing Horse will be there both days and will be giving a race by race preview whilst attempting to find those winners for you! To help punters we will assess then nominate using our very own special Pacafi betting criteria. These will be posted in our preview late Friday and early Saturday morning...

Jump Season Preview on Friday 9 October 2015

Ahead of racing on Saturday there will be 'The Jump Season Preview' evening on Friday 9 October 2015. This will be hosted by BBC Wales' and At The Races' Aly Rowell. A panel of experts including leading Welsh trainer Tim Vaughan, current leader in the Jumps Jockeys' Championship Richard Johnson and Mark Pearson from Betfred, will preview the forthcoming jump season. Tickets are £29 and include a buffet meal and a ticket for racing on Sunday 11 October 2015.
