Impressive second run and more to come

See Of Green is not the biggest but he left his debut form well behind when second of 12 in maiden at Ripon at 17/2 over 1m4f on heavy ground staying on nicely suggesting he could get further sometime down the line. That run alone gives him a great chance but we can expect improvement on just his third start.

Course to suit

It is interesting trainer Owen Burrows sends his charge to Catterick to break his maiden given he has not sent a horse there to race in the last 5 years and is 1-3 for 33% all time. We consider why this engagement? Catterick is a left-handed sharp oval shaped track measuring just 9 furlongs with a run-in of 3 furlongs. Its undulations combined with its exceedingly sharp nature makes it a difficult course for a big, long-striding animal, and speedy types who race handily are at a definite advantage. This looks the reason why Burrows sends this smaller horse to race at this particular course!

Trainer & Jockey

Trainer Owen Burrows has a national average of 20% so adept at placing horses. This year he has only raced 25 and won with 4 so a strike rate of 16% so just a shade below his national average. Oisin Orr rides 5-26 for 19% (+2.33) at Catterick and when he has combined with the trainer scores 1-1 for 100% (+2.75) so all our boxes have been ticked.

Timeform Comments

SEE THE GREEN left his debut effort well behind switched to turf when runner-up at Ripon 5 weeks ago, and with further improvement on the cards, Owen Burrows' 3-y-o can make it third time lucky at the expense of Yurinov, who should appreciate this step up in trip and is also open to progress. Positivia can edge out Belcamo for third spot.

Perceived Value

The 6/4 looks north of perceived value. We are expecting our Pacafi to be supported in the market so shortening up. If we receive drift we might have a stake or part stake saver and will post that advice before 2pm...
