The Racing Horse offers our Racecourse Template for Chepstow for Wednesday 20 November 2019. We reveal those important/pertinent figures that matter and help the reader to find the winners, failing that sort the contenders from the pretenders. It provides a betting landscape and a must-have tool for those betting at Chepstow, a course we know better than most!

CHEPSTOW RACECOURSE a GREAT DAY OUT!

RACECOURSE TEMPLATES and their VALUE!

There are six races tomorrow, two handicap hurdles, two handicap chases, one maiden hurdle and one novices' hurdle. It is important to understand the different disciplines as they produce such different figures. We look at the performance of both handicap and non-handicap National Hunt races at the course and note non-handicap hurdle favourites produce a 47% winning strike rate. Favourites in non-handicap chases produce the worst results. The going is expected to be soft.

Paul Nicholls was the top trainer last season and top jockey was Richard Johnson but this pair have been the top two for the last five seasons. Furthermore, the top 5 trainers at the course last year have been the top 5 over the past five seasons and this looks a logical starting point to those thought processes.

Paul Nicholls is currently 0-19 and that includes 5 losing favourites at prices 10/11, 5/6, 15/8, 5/2 and 5/2 and tomorrow he runs just 2 horses including Cap Du Mathan 2.20 and BLACKJACK KENTUCKY 3.20. Notice he has a stack entered for Wincanton on Thursday. Can we take this opportunity in wishing fellow owners of OWNERS GROUP a great day out, we hope for a great result but will settle for him coming home safe. Our thanks to Sandra Parry for her lovely photograph! Richard Johnson goes to Warwick instead of Chepstow so he must have been promised a winner there.
