Exercise gallop

Getting involved in Class 6 Handicaps is something we rarely do unless we have an edge or standout. On this occasion we believe the Pacafi will prove to be far better than her rivals and looks thrown-in. Gatecrasher Girl was the easiest winner we have seen in a long time and no more than an exercise gallop!

Further progress is expected

She is clearly a promising individual. We cannot explain why she was allowed to go off at 7/2 when producing a career best when winning a 7-runner handicap at Nottingham over 8.3f on good to firm ground 10 days ago, overcoming a slow start, pace bias and a blocked run. Further progress is expected and she will prove very hard to beat under a penalty. The numbers says she is 8lb well in this despite carrying a 6lb penalty, but she could be the best part of 14lbs well in.

Trainer form

Trainer William Knight has his horses in form with 2 of his last 7 winning. He has a national average of 11% but scores 15% at Wolverhampton. Hollie Doyle has only had a handful of rides for the trainer so the combination figure of 17% is not really relevant. Interesting Hollie has ridden 99 winners at Wolverhampton so the Pacafi could be number 100?

Contenders

We cannot find a danger to the Pacafi. Hypersonic is a token choice only. He has changed hands for large sums twice but just modest form to date and now wears blinkers. He is a lightly-raced maiden though. Having his first run since leaving K Burke when seventh of 9 in handicap at 12/1 at Kempton over 8f in January. Absent since, so makes debut for another new yard here. Hugo Palmer might just be having a look at him on this occasion but we expect each-way backers to be interested and almost certain to shorten in price early in the piece.

 Timeform

It's hard to get away from GATECRASHER GIRL, who barely broke sweat when landing a more competitive handicap than this on her recent reappearance at Nottingham. The best is surely yet to come from this filly and she should make light of her penalty. Bearing Bob has finished in the money on three of his four starts in handicaps here this year and looks set for another minor role. Spirit of Cimarron is best of the rest.

Gatecrasher Girl traded at a high of 4.90 and Betfair SP of 4.70 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear and travelled strongly early on.

Value

The 1/2 must be value given our rationale! We considered 2pts win on this filly.
