  • Top Chepstow trainer David Evans is more than an All Weather numbers man and consistently finds improvement from claimed horses. His record at Wolverhampton is very good scoring with 374 winners, but Chepstow is his best Turf course for winners and his all-time score stands at 84 winners from 784 runners for 11% (-93.14). He sends a team of 6 to the course today. MABRE 8.00 (Darragh Keenan) was a beaten favourite for him last time out but the trainer also runs DELTA RIVER in the same race. He will do well to get this horse to win a race but we hope the trainer can find the key!
  • Rossa Ryan rides the course very well and is leading jockey, but he had a horrible fall at Wolverhampton recently so not riding at the moment.
  • Top owners at the track include: Hamdan Al Maktoum 7-41 for 17% (-15.18), Ronald Davies & Mrs Candida Davies 5-10 for 50% (+34.00), G B Hignell 5-16 for 31% (+9.25), Pete Smith 5-16 for 31% (+40.75) and Pete Smith & Phil Hart Racing 4-21 for 19% (+9.25)
  • Longest traveller to the track today is TAYLORED 8.00 for David O'Meara (212m)
  • William Haggas sends THRILL SEEKER 8.30 and his only runner (164m). The horse wears a tongue strap and cheekpieces. Trainer has a strike rate of 22% with horses running in races between 7f and 10f, and a 23% strike rate in mid-season. Haggas at Chepstow shows 24-93 for 26% (+11.87) All time figures...

  • Trainers with runners but on the cold list R J Price 39
  • C Wallis 35
  • B J Llewellyn 35
  • G Brown 29
  • M Harris 29
  • Jockeys with rides but on the cold list Liam Keniry 61

  • Rae Guest shows a profit of £30.97 to £1 with winning favourites (WALTZING QUEEN 8.30)
  • CHIAVARI 9.00 remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. Not seen to best effect when eighth of 16 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good to soft) 18 days ago, badly hampered. Significantly back up in trip. Saffie Osborne in the saddle so interesting to watch her ride this one...
